Fast Weight Loss

Of the 50 million plus who will go on a diet program this year, only a small percentage will succeed. I have been there and back more times then I can count. Looking back now, I realize that I had absolutely no clue what was going on.

In my opinion, the number one problem which causes obesity is portion sizes. I remember when I used to go to McDonalds after school with my girlfriend to get a 20 piece chicken McNugget and 2 small fries for $3. This was a frequent occurrence. And I wondered why I started gaining weight back. Before I knew it, I was close to 220. I felt disgusting, so I tried to do something about it. Again and again, nothing worked. I would pop a few pills and make an attempt to stay below 500 calories a day. I would starve myself for most of the day, but I would end up binging on food, because I was losing my sanity from the starvation feeling.

I finally figured out how to lose the weight and keep it off about a year ago. I am now at 175 with a lot more lean body mass. Here's how I did it:

1. Eat small meals every 3 hours for a total of 5-6 meals a day. This will keep your metabolism up. It will also keep you somewhat full, so you do not end up binging. I wasn't very strict about where my calories came from at first, but I got more strict as time went on.

2. Go for a walk every day. I would recommend at least a half an hour, but something is better than nothing. To get even better results, do not intake any carbs 2-3 hours beforehand.

3. Drink at least 64 ounces of water each day.

4. After a while or a plateau, introduce resistance training. Weight lifting is excellent to boost your metabolism and keep it there for hours!

I know you can do it. Good luck!
